GWSHC MAY HIKE

Length:
There are several circuit hikes ranging in length from 7 to 1.5 miles.
All involve some elevation change. The main hike will most likely be 5
miles. You will be able to pick a shorter or longer hike if you wish.

Meet: Main Parking area in front of farmhouse and visitor center
Directions:
Directions: Route 66 West to exit 23 (Rt. 17 north) Go north on Rt. 17
for approx 7 miles to park entrance on left. Proceed on park road to
the visitor center. US RT 50, West from Fairfax past Upperville to RT
17 South. Take RT 17 approximately 1 mile to Park entrance on
Right.
Fees: There is a $4.00 fee per vehicle to enter the park
Bring:
Water. Lunch or a snack. Wear appropriate footwear, as some parts
of the trail may be muddy and a stream crossing is involved.
Please be prepared to pick up poop after your dog(s). The hike goes through some heavily used public areas.
